Yigal Azrouël launched his eponymous women's wear label in New York in 1998 to critical acclaim and by 2000 began his participation in New York Fashion Week. Azrouël defines his aesthetic using high-quality fabrics to drape structured, ultra-feminine, modern silhouettes. In August 2000, Azrouël opened his full-service atelier and showroom in New York's Garment District, where the company continues to produce 70% of the collection locally. Azrouël opened his first boutique in 2003 in New York's Meatpacking District and in the Fall 2012, moved his flagship to Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side. The Yigal Azrouël signature aesthetic, which can be found in his expert draping and construction, has evolved throughout the years through a myriad of forms and fabrics that are modern and fresh, with a precise attention to detail. Cut25 by Yigal Azrouël launched for Fall 2010, a contemporary brand concept combining high fashion with a day-to-day simplicity. The design sensibility is democratic, inspiring individuality and creativity. Cut25 by Yigal Azrouël offers an artisanal approach to design and the philosophy that unique and innovative fashion can be accessible for those who seek it. Born and raised in Israel of French-Moroccan descent and always traveling to locations both metropolitan and remote, Yigal Azrouël draws inspiration from everything and everywhere: art, culture, architecture, nature and above all, his hometown- New York City.
