The Most Wearable Trends From Fashion Week

From kidcore to acupuncture needles, some of the looks at Fashion Week pushed (quite rightly) at the boundaries of wearability. Others, we’re happy to embrace with immediate effect. From autumnal outerwear to playful prints, these are the trends we'll actually be wearing this season.

All-Over Checks

On the catwalk from Miu Miu and Proenzer Schouler to COS, and in street style shots from New York to London, checks and plaid added colour and interest to cold-weather dressing.

Lace Detailing

Adding a sometimes-romantic, sometimes-gothic feel, summer's lace trend segued into autumn in the form of lace tops, skirts, dresses and shawls layered with trousers, knitwear and outerwear. Easy yet effective.

Brown Leather Jackets

Bringing together two current trends, this was the cover-up of choice for fashion editors and influencers. A fresh take on a classic, it's wearable, but not boring.

Unexpected Animal Prints

Leopard print is a given, but this year, less-obvious prints like cow and zebra edged into the frame, both on and off the catwalk. Extra points for a textured, pony-skin finish.
