This cappuccino-hued shirt captures a sense of '70s nostalgia – note the geometric motif, exaggerated collar and wide, subtly flared cuffs. Modernised with a concealed placket, it has a relaxed shape that elegantly hangs off the body thanks to the dropped shoulders, while the box pleat at the back nips it in a little. It's crafted from regenerated fibre, cupro, with miniature half-moons jacquard-woven into the glossy fabric, matching the coordinating trousers.
A brand whose aesthetic has been so influential that it’s hard to remember what went before. But when COS launched in 2007 against a backdrop of fast, trend-led fashion, its focus on minimal pieces at accessible prices was a breakthrough moment. With a focus on style over trend, it heralded a new era for interesting, modern, considered design and changed our wardrobes for the better, forever.
'Made with at least 50% cupro. Cupro is a regenerated cellulose fabric made from cotton waste. While chemicals are used in its production, it is a closed-loop process, meaning that chemicals can be extracted and waste water reused.'
