In a smart loafer silhouette, these are made from smooth suede in a design that can be worn for the working week or for dressy weekend occasions. The slip-on silhouette has a classic penny front with stitching accents and a durable, rubber contrasting sole. The insole of this shoe has been sewn directly to the outsole, the benefit of this is it's stronger and less likely to fall apart.
The genuine moccasin is made with a wraparound construction, it has a single layer section which forms the insole, vamp and quarters.
The piece is moulded upwards from the under surface of the last and then an apron is stitched to the gathered edges of the vamp and the sole to the base of the shoe. This takes skill, dedication and patience and although not as watertight as some methods, it can help with braving the elements.
