Marques' Almeida's top is part of the brand's innovative 'ReM'Ade' collection, which takes leftover fabrics from past designs and upcycles them into new pieces. Cut from partially recycled cotton, it has corset-inspired front seams and falls to a ruffled peplum hem. The shirred back panel ensures a close, comfortable fit.
Founded by designers Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida in 2011, Marques'Almeida subscribes to the Helmut Lang school of thought, where fashion is about attitude, not hemlines. With a focus on cut, colour and texture, their unique collections combine innovation, art and luxury.
'Made with 25% organic and 25% recycled cotton. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides and fertilisers, uses less water and emits up to 46% less greenhouse gas than non-organic. Recycled cotton reduces waste, uses fewer natural resources and has a lower environmental impact.'
