Reformation is on a mission to dispel the myth that sustainable clothing and covetable clothing are mutually exclusive. Considering every step in the production process and its environmental impact, the LA-based label crafts the Josefina maxi dress with one of its favourite fabrics: lyocell. Made from renewable wood materials, the fibre is then blended with eco-conscious organic cotton and infused with stretch. Shaped into a figure-hugging silhouette that sweeps off the shoulders with soft ruching, it's primed for a candle-lit dinner or cocktail soirée.
Long before it became fashionable, Reformation made sustainability cool, with limited collections of dresses, ethically-made in LA with ‘deadstock’ material. They’re still leading change, promising to be climate positive by 2025.
As the sustainable fashion movement gathers pace, we’re shining a light on the individual pieces with eco credentials, whether that’s lower-impact natural fabrics like linen, lyocell and organic cotton, recycled fibres, or more planet-friendly manufacturing techniques. If it’s greener, it’s here.
