Clever, good-looking and kind to the planet. No we’re not describing our ideal date but LA-based label Reformation. Its Maegan dress is spun from summery, lightweight linen (a fabric that uses little water to grow and emits a fraction of the carbon cotton does) printed a vintage-inspired floral motif, and cut with a structured smocked bodice and flowing calf-skimming skirt. Slip it on with sandals as you stride into spring and summer.
Long before it became fashionable, Reformation made sustainability cool, with limited collections of dresses, ethically-made in LA with ‘deadstock’ material. They’re still leading change, promising to be climate positive by 2025.
'Made with 100% linen. Linen is made from the fibres of the flax plant. Flax is resilient and can grow in poor soil, using less water than cotton to produce.'
