Thought Scandinavian sensibility was all languid tailoring and clean-cut camel coats? Well, STINE GOYA is here to dispel the myth that every Dane designs in hushed tones with its line-up of joyful, sherbet-shaded styles. Crafted from panels of recycled polyamide, the Elena mini dress is shaped to a frame-skimming silhouette and stitched with bunches of applique blooms sprouting from its seams, from the plunging V-neck to the hem of the thigh-grazing length.
Danish designer Stine Goya has carved a niche with her colourful rejection of the familiar tropes of tasteful Scandinavian minimalism, underpinned by flattering cuts and high-quality fabrics. Sustainability is an important focus, with the ambition of at least 90% more-sustainable materials across the whole collection.
As the sustainable fashion movement gathers pace, we’re shining a light on the individual pieces with eco credentials, whether that’s lower-impact natural fabrics like linen, lyocell and organic cotton, recycled fibres, or more planet-friendly manufacturing techniques. If it’s greener, it’s here.
