For Pre-Spring ’20, Danish label Stine Goya took its cues from the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi’s renowned opera Aida. Positioned between the River Nile and the Ethiopian forest, the collection is about the struggle between love and loyalty – love among people and loyalty to one’s heritage. The Irene top comes in a romantic seersucker with a scale-print snaking from the square neckline to the peplum hem. Don yours with equally contrasting separates.
Danish designer Stine Goya has carved a niche with her colourful rejection of the familiar tropes of tasteful Scandinavian minimalism, underpinned by flattering cuts and high-quality fabrics. Sustainability is an important focus, with the ambition of at least 90% more-sustainable materials across the whole collection.
Extending the life of existing clothes reduces their environmental impact, keeping textile waste out of landfill and saving resources needed to manufacture new garments.
