The business Revelation Piccadilly was first established in 1923 when a luggage store opened at 170 Piccadilly, making this flagship store one of the oldest luggage stores in the world.Throughout the war years, the store survived, offering Revelation branded luggage which was considered to be the premier collection of luggage - especially the unique expanding suitcases, serving Royalty, Noblemen, and Dignitaries amongst others. In the late 1960's the owners sold the rights of the Revelation name to Antler for the purpose of producing and wholesaling luggage. The store continued to trade as Revelation, selling more upmarket, multi-branded luggage collections. In 1988 Revelation Piccadilly (the Retail Trading Company) was sold to Stephen Spitz who set about refurbishing the store, and offering a more contemporary mix of products. It was felt that there was no better-end luggage business being offered in the UK and through a sister company (Pelham) started to import, distribute and retail various international brands, including TUMI, Zero Halliburton, Kipling, and Longchamp.Having secured 2 further stores - one in Guildford and one in the City of London, the Retail business was sold in 1992, and Stephen Spitz pursued other retail interests. In mid 1997 for numerous reasons, Revelation Piccadilly was repurchased by Stephen Spitz and his Key management team.During the next 15 years, Revelation would undergo a name change to Case, the original store at Piccadilly would become the First European flagship store for Tumi (2002), and Case would increase in size due to the addition of various stores and concessions, including the largest travel goods concession in the world at Harrods (2006), and a first foray in to Travel Goods airport retailing at Gatwick (2012).A look at the current store listing shows where the retail business is today - dominating the top end of the travel good market through its real estate and in store departments as well as through owning the exclusive wholesale and distribution rights in the UK for Tumi, Bric's, Mandarina Duck, Delsey, Lulu Guinness travel, Knirps and Eagle Creek. We are especially proud of our travel goods department in Harrods which is generally considered to be the best in the world, and also of our continued associations with Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, and Hoopers. We now trade from 9 stores as well as our web presence. The ethos of the company however remains the same and we look forward to building business in our present stores as well as expanding our presence on the web and through other channels.
