Working closely with local Turkish gem cutters and artisans, Deniz aims to create one of a kind pieces that exhibit modern design aesthetics whilst remaining loyal to the beauty of ancient Ottoman jewellery making traditions. Ottoman Hands began its days as a small, but beautiful stall in the world famous Portobello Market in London. The designs attracted crowds of tourists, fashionistas and celebrities a like with its dazzling gemstones and was quickly spotted by Topshop’s keen buyers. From that point onwards the designs grew and grew in popularity and now, Ottoman Hands can be seen in some of the most revolutionary, stylish and luxurious shops all over the world.
